Reading and quoting

Everything on Versal is written by Vera Ostlund and is her copyright unless it says otherwise. You may quote any passage with a link back to the essay. To reprint a whole essay, ask first; non-commercial reprints are usually granted and free.

Membership

Membership is £6 a month or £60 a year; the founding tier is £150 a year. It renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel by replying to any letter or from your receipt. Monthly memberships end at the end of the month you cancel in. Yearly memberships cancelled within 30 days of renewal are refunded pro rata.

Members-only writing

Members-only essays are for the member’s own reading. Please do not forward them in full or post them publicly; a paragraph and a link is always welcome.

The founding broadside

Founding members receive one hand-printed broadside a year, posted in December to the address you give. Lost parcels are replaced once, while copies last.

Changes

If prices or these terms change, members are told by email at least 30 days before the change affects them.
